IAA is a think tank composed of african experts specialized in the field of international criminal Justice, the right to life, economic rights, social and cultural rights. Advocacy for the ratification of international conventions on human rights, the adoption of legislation and compliance at the national level and the implementation and enforcement of those rights set forth is one of the activities that characterize the melting pot of experts.

Resident Representative

The main objective of the Africa Bureau of the World Federalist based in Cotonou is to strengthen the capacity of advocacy networks of african civil society on issues of peace, international justice, women's rights and justice based on gender in Africa. In this sense, the Africa Bureau of the World Federalist Movement-Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP), initiated in conjunction with the civil society organizations beninese and african sessions for capacity building on the themes mentioned above, and organizes conferences and training seminars to the attention of the members of the various International Coalitions to know : the Coalition for the International Criminal (IPCC) and the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP).

Africa Regional coordinator

The responsibilities of the Regional Coordinator Africa can be summarized as follows :
✔  Create and maintain a good and strategic working relationship with the members of the CICC across the region ;
✔  Provide support and guidance to the members of the CICC across the region to strengthen their capacity to advance justice at the ICC and at the national level ;
✔  Identify new members to the IPCC and allies in the region to diversify the network of partners of the CICC and interested parties in the ICC in the region ;
✔  Evaluate the developments in the key countries present, and the other to be determined ; develop advocacy strategies in each target country, in cooperation with key partners, national and international, to lead to an improvement of the long term goals of the IPCC, such as the ratification, implementation, complementarity, and cooperation ;
✔  Facilitate the exchange of views and expertise between national Ngos and the branches of the government ;
✔  Meet with government officials, academics, parliamentarians and other key stakeholders in order to promote the goals of the IPCC at the national level ;
✔  Help develop and review the projects of Ngos for local activities related to the ICC
✔  Take part in meetings, regional and national levels in Africa, as well as to the Assembly of States Parties and meetings of the civil society in The Hague ;
✔  Identify and develop relationships with media contacts, key ;
✔  To produce regular reports on the process of the ICC in Africa ;
✔  Maintain internal communications, cooperating regularly with the Secretariat of the IPCC by email and telephone ;
✔  Coordinate program activities and their financing, budgetary issues, and the regional updates ;
✔  Supervise the staff and trainees of the office based in Africa, according to the needs.

✔  Act as a spokesperson and representative of Amnesty International, Benin ;
✔  Coordinates the work of advocacy and lobbying of the movement in Benin, in the present instance by strengthening relationships with partner organizations, the media and the government
✔  Collaborate with the program Media and Audio-visual of the International Secretariat in relation to communication strategies and press releases for Benin.
✔  Establish good working relationships with NGOS and national institutions with which collaboration is possible, in order to facilitate the action of pressure joint, if this is necessary, and in a timely manner ;

General Services Assistant

Responsibilities :

Administration :
✔  Ensure that the administrative functions are carried out in accordance with the administrative procedures in force;
✔  Participate in the preparation and development of budget proposals on issues related to the general service, security, etc;
✔  Manage and follow-up of contracts, and the performance of the services ;
✔  Serve as liaison for the payment transactions between the administrative and financial, administrative processing of invoices and contribution to the resolution of problems related to payments (such as the lack of certification of the goods and services received and failures).

Property management :
✔  Evaluate, monitor and prepare inventories of movable and immovable of the Mission and residences in accordance with the regulations and procedures of the Agency ; prepare, organize and execute the auction;
✔  Manage inventory of office (to control the use, track the stock with a view to better planning and orders supplies, furniture and equipment).

General Services :
✔  Serve as a liaison between the companies of services to know (phone, electricity, water, maintenance.... and the administration to ensure the provision of efficient services in a timely manner ; prepare and submit periodic reports.
✔  Produce periodic reports on the use of vehicles for each section.
✔  Supervise two employees, both permanent and casual employees (service maintenance) ; develop weekly plans to work with the staff supervised.
✔  Assist in the organization of all international travel by staff and the host government (establishment of the mission orders, authorizations, travel, calculation of per diems, booking of seats for travel outside, with the purchase of tickets with the agencies, etc.) ; to liquidate the advances of travel of the staff of government partners and consultants.
